Best Oblique
Exercise For Slamming Abs!
|
The best oblique exercise that I have discovered that you can do in the
gym is by doing seated rotation using either a cable or elastic band on
a fit ball.
“ How about those exercise where people carry heavy dumbbells
and lift side to side?” |
The answer is no. Using dumbbells or weights to do side lateral
movements do not stress the oblique muscle as much as rotation
movements.
Lateral movements of the trunk like bending side to side, will only
work the external oblique but not the internal ones. More over,
hoisting heavy weights for trimming the torso will only end up bulking
the torso.
Best oblique exercise is a
movement that exercises the internal and external oblique together.
Rotation exercises stress both the and external oblique in way that you
can never imagine.
To perform the seated torso rotation exercise, you will need a cable
tower and a fitball. If the fitball is not available, then use a bench.
The whole purpose is to take away the lower body movement. Place the
cables at shoulder height and hold the handles with both hands. Pull
out the cable and sit on the fitball firmly with your abs in and back
straight.
Keep your arms straight but keep a slight bend at the elbows. If the
cables are attached to the left side, squeeze your right oblique and
rotate to the right. Release slowly and repeat it for 20-30 reps. Do
2-3 sets for each side.
Of course, even with the best exercises in the world, you can't get
those ripped abs if you don’t diet and do your cardio
diligently. You are what you eat!
